It’s that time again! Be sure not to miss this annual event when the staff of Georgie’s Alibi “drag” out their alter egos and strut their stuff down the runway competing for the title of “Miss Alibi Turnabout.” This years’ theme “Battle of the Burlesque Beauties” promises to bring some eye popping and show stopping performances to the Alibi stage. This is one of the largest of the Alibi fundraisers and the proceeds this year are going to The Wellness Center of South Florida – a long standing charitable organization providing assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS in South Florida. Founded by Heidi Andrus in 1996, The Wellness Center of South Florida is a licensed 501(c)(3) non-profit organizaton dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing place for the HIV community of Broward County.
This event is also the official opening party for the Stonewall Street Festival. This year, the addition of a “sensual” Silent Auction starts off the evening with thousands of dollars worth of goodies to bid on. Things heat up when guests arrive via “limo” onto a glamorous red carpet hosted by the one and only Dale Madison. Plenty of press will be on hand to capture the local celebrities as they enter. The pageant itself will be hosted by Scot Newell and the contestants will compete in three categories to vie for the coveted title of “Miss Alibi Turnabout.” “Limo” service provided by Star Electric Cars.
