This past weekend I was off to Tampa to celebrate Gasparilla, Goncho and of course experience a lot of the local venues. When I arrived Friday early evening I went to Fresh Mouth as I was craving one of their famous Cheeseburgers and as always they did not disappoint…YUMMY!

After a disco nap, it was time to hit Ybor City. I started the night at Steam Fridays at the HoneyPot which had a themed party entitled Circus. Well let me tell you, Stephen Moss & Steve Donahue (the owners of Florida Entertainment Group) did it right as they turned the club in to a circus with decorations and live visuals. They clearly spent a lot of time and money on transforming the club and the crowds came out to see it as the line was literally down the block for hours! After spending like an hour at Steam I headed to the Gancho party entitled Havoc at the Amphitheater, which starred DJ Abel and a host of beautiful go-go boys. I then went back to Steam for another hour as I could not get enough of the Circus! Saturday night Scott Spar and I had dinner at the Laughing Cat, which was highly recommended. I had the Salmon and Scott had the Veal Picata and they were both delish! The Laughing Cat makes everything fresh to order and the portions are huge.

Literally everyone takes home a doggie bag. After a quick shower and a change of clothes it was off to Bradley’s to see their all star show MC’d by the one and only Joey Brooks. I must say the club was packed and according to the applauds, everyone enjoyed the show and the hot go-go boys. It was then off to G Bar to hear Joe Gauthreaux spin and once again it was wall to wall! I then went to the official Gancho party at the Ritz that starred DJ Ralphi Rosario and shows by JoJo Infiniti and Power. These shows were reminiscent of the circuity shows at Gaydays; full productions with dancers, make-up and incredible costuming.

While I was in Tampa I heard the cruisers took over Fort Lauderdale and all the bars and clubs were packed with hot men from all over the world!
