Out Politics – March 8, 2012

The right wing Family Research Council has expressed how pissed off they are at former Vice President Dick Cheney (R) over the issue of marriage equality. Cheney was caught lobbing Maryland’s state Republican lawmakers to support a law permitting same-sex marriage which has, due to Cheney’s efforts, passed. Previously, Cheney had “talked the walk” by actively voicing support for gay marriage. This is the first time he’s known to have “walked the walk” and actually worked towards passage.

Right Wing Group Furious with Dick Cheney

The right wing Family Research Council has expressed how pissed off they are at former Vice President Dick Cheney (R) over the issue of marriage equality. Cheney was caught lobbing Maryland’s state Republican lawmakers to support a law permitting same-sex marriage which has, due to Cheney’s efforts, passed. Previously, Cheney had “talked the walk” by actively voicing support for gay marriage. This is the first time he’s known to have “walked the walk” and actually worked towards passage.

Cheney daughter, Mary is openly gay, has a partner and together they have a child.

FRC’s Tony Perkins said that just because Cheney has an openly gay daughter that is no reason he should support equal rights for gays and lesbians.

Santorum Nail Polish is available on Amazon.com for $13.13 and would make the perfect Mother’s Day gift.

Kiss Pic Takes Country by Storm

A U.S. Marine homecoming kiss has captured the imagination of the United States and taken the internet by storm. The image of Brandon Morgan and Dalan Wells was posted to the Facebook page of Gay Marines and within the first weekend there were more than 3,000 comments and 14,000 “likes.”

Morgan has responded to all the positive comments concerning the photo by writing: “My partner and I want to say thank you. Dalan, the giant in the photo, can’t believe how many shares and likes we have gotten on this. We didn’t do this to get famous or something like that we did this cause after 3 deployments and four years knowing each other, we finally told each other how we felt.”

However, not all comments received from the photo has been positive, to those, Morgan said: “To quote Kat Williams, ‘Everyone needs haters, so let them hate.’ We are the happiest we have ever been and, as for the whole PDA and kissing slash hugging in uniform, it was a homecoming. If the Sergeants Major, Captains, Majors, and Colonels around us didn’t care, then why do you care what these random people have to say? In summation, thank you for your love and support. I received a lot of friend requests off this. I don’t just accept requests so if your request was because of this post message me and let me know. Goodnight to all and Semper Fi.”

The Morgan and Wells photo is sure to become “The Kiss” photo of the 21st century as had the photo of the young sailor returning from World War II kissing a nurse in Times Square became the iconic photo of the 20th.

Things We’ve Learned …

– Trans-Vaginal is not an airline, nor is Trans-Vaginal Ultrasound a women’s rock band.

– Gay Wikileaks soldier, Pvt. Bradley Manning has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

– Government can be made small enough to fit inside a woman’s private parts.

– Academy Awards pays tribute to Sister Delores Hart who was billed as the actual star of “Where the Boys Are” prior to her becoming a nun. Today, Connie Francis is considered the star of that film though at that time she was almost unknown.

– The G.O.P. race for presidential nominee continues inturmoil as the Republican’ts can’t seem to choose their nominee. With Romney’swins last week in the Arizona and Michigan primaries and the mixed results in thisweek’s “Super Tuesday” primaries, the Grand Oooold Party seems to be getting olderas they try to figure out how many decades in the past they would like to return the United States. What’s Calvin Coolidge doing nowadays?
