How did you get started in the club world?

I got started in the club world though my love of House Music.

What was your first residency?

My first residency was a party called the F-Word in NYC. It was a party designed to bring all types of people together in one place, it was all about music and acceptance.

What are some of the major cities you have spun in??

It seems as though in the last year I have hit almost every major city here in North America, but some of the biggest cities have to be NYC, San Francisco, Chicago, LA, Las Vegas, DC, Montreal and Toronto.

What has been your favorite gig??

It’s hard to pick a favorite gig, all gigs are unique, and bring a different experience, but I always have a great time playing for my current residency Matinee North America.

You run a podcast. How did that start and what is your favorite thing about it?

I started my podcast around 3 years ago as a way to get my music out into the world. My favorite thing about it has to be all the positive feedback I get back, or when I am walking into the gym or even a store and my podcast is playing. It’s been one of my favorite parts of this business.

Other then DJing, what do you like to do for fun??

I spend a lot of my time producing now days, but for fun I like to do simple things like go to the gym, see movies, or getting together with friends.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I’m very much a homebody. I love DJing and the club scene, it’s a huge part of my life and wouldn’t change it for anything, but it’s always great to be home.

What does the future hold for Billy Lace?

The future holds growth for me. I’m going to keep pushing forward in my DJ/Producing career, and I am currently working on a few original, and remix projects that will be out soon.
