This coming weekend the folks as Rosie’s Bar and Grill will celebrate their 10th Anniversary. The restaurant and bar, which was originally a franchise of the Hamburger Mary’s Chain, decided on the name change more than 6 years ago and the owners John Zieba and Cliff Mulcahy haven’t looked back since. They have dedicated themselves to creating an environment that is not only gay friendly, but also someplace that you could bring your parents and your kids as well. They go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, not just the friends of Dorothy.  Known for delicious food and great service, they will celebrate this momentous occasion in South Pacific style, as they plan to have a Luau complete with Mai Tai’s, Leis, fire dancers, and a Hula Show on Saturday night.

The staff at Rosie’s knows how to treat you right, and they know how to throw a party; in preparation for their Anniversary party they will set up a lounge area in the parking lot complete with extra bars throughout the weekend, and of course they will have amazing drink specials to add to the celebration. Owner Cliff Mulcahy says “we are going to flash back to ten years ago and we have incredible drink specials with prices what they were when we opened. On Saturday, we will have $5 Voodoo buckets and on Sunday they will feature $5 beer buckets.” That’s 5 beers for $5!

For the last ten years, Rosie’s Bar and Grill have made a name for themselves in Wilton Manor’s by continuing to focus on three aspects any restaurant and bar should consider: Food, Atmosphere, and Service. The crux of the menu is their burger selection, and this year at the Riverwalk Battle, they were voted Best Bar Burger. They have an amazing selection of other tasty dishes as well, if a burger is not what you are in the mood for. From salads to steaks, they’re sure to have on their menu that will make your mouth water and have you coming back for more.

Their Sunday Brunch is not to be missed; it’s a huge hit with locals and visitors alike. Along with the standard brunch cocktails like Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas, you will find Voodoo bucket and domestic and import beer bucket specials as well. Brunch starts at 10am and is served till 2. They run drink specials on a nightly basis as well, so you can get a deal at Rosie’s any day of the week. There is always a festive mood at the bar, and the tables on the patio are surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful decorations adding to the party atmosphere.

Rosie’s Bar and Grill has supported our community since their inception, and have become huge supporters of the Smart Ride, a charity bike ride from Miami to Key West, that takes place once a year and raises funds for local HIV/AIDS organizations.  This year alone, Rosie’s Smart Ride team raised more than $69,000, making them one of the top fundraisers for 2012. Their hard work and commitment to the LGBT community doesn’t stop with the Smart Ride, whether it’s the AIDS walk or one of the Pride events in Wilton Manors, the staff and owners are always one of the first to step up to help.

Make sure you come out and help Rosie’s mark this special occasion. The Anniversary Celebration kicks off on Thursday, December 6 and will run all weekend long. Rosie’s is located at 2449 Wilton Drive, just south of 5 points. For more information you can visit them on the web at www.rosiesbarandgrill.com
