That’s right, foodies—your favorite event of the year is finally here! The Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival Presented by FOOD & WINE takes place this year from February 21 to 24. Food Network devotees drool over this chance to mix and mingle among their favorite celebrity chefs and this year’s line up certainly doesn’t disappoint.
The list is truly amazing—Rachael Ray, Paula and Bobby Deen, Martha Stewart, Giada DeLaurentiis, Al Roker, Bobby Flay, Guy Fieri, Anthony Bourdain, Trisha Yearwood, Emeril Lagasse, Nigella Lawson, Robert Irvine, Anne Burrell, Aarón Sánchez, Geoffrey Zakarian, Sunny Anderson, Miami’s own Michelle Bernstein, Adam Richman, Nadia G, Mo Rocca, Masaharu Morimoto, Michael Symon, Andrew Zimmern, Tyler Florence, Marc Summers, Alex Guarnaschelli, Amanda Freitag, G Garvin, Marcus Samuelsson, Curtis Stone, Rocco DiSpirito, Todd English, Duff Goldman, and Hedy Goldsmith, and many more.
The weekend kicks-off with Best of the Bay hosted by Michael Mina with Tyler Florence, Nancy Oakes, Richard Reddington and Thomas McNaughton sponsored by Far Niente Wine, as well as Nigellisima Dinner hosted by Nigella Lawson with Andrew Carmellini. There’s also the Carnivorous Dinner hosted by Michael Symon, and a Tribute Dinner honoring Nobu Matsuhisa and Moët Hennessy’s Christophe Navarre with fabulous Mistress of Ceremonies Martha Stewart. Another great event, the Southern Kitchen Brunch hosted by Trisha Yearwood, will definitely draw a crowd of her music fans and her new foodie fans.
Other events you won’t want to miss include Moët Hennessy’s The Q hosted by Paula Deen and Sons and the ever popular Burger Bash with Rachael Ray leading this year’s beefy extravaganza. Barilla Interactive Lunch hosted by Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos; Thrillist’s BBQ & The Blues hosted by Geoffrey Zakarian; Swine & Wine hosted by Michelle Bernstein presented by Pat La Frieda Meats. And that’s just a sampling of the over-the-top events that will be taking place.
The two-day favorite returns—The Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village. Held in white tents stretching between 10th Street and 13th Street off Ocean Drive, The Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village features star-studded KitchenAid Culinary Demonstrations and the Grand Tasting Tents, which showcase offerings from 40 different restaurants and more than 80 wine, spirits and non-alcoholic beverage suppliers from the Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida portfolio. It’s truly the ultimate foodie experience!
All proceeds from the Festival benefit the students of the Florida International University Hospitality and Tourism Management who assist Festival organizers in many areas and are afforded the once in a lifetime chance to work alongside some of the world’s greatest celebrity chefs and winemakers.
