Creative Male turns Three

Three years ago life partners Bruce Horwich and Ben Lyman, who at that time were together for 11 years, decided that they wanted to open an underwear and swimwear shop and hence Creative Male was born. They started out by buying a small existing store that carried some of the products they wanted to feature and brought in many more lines. Shortly afterwards they moved the store to Midtown and a year later moved to their current and larger space in the Wynnwood area of Miami at 222 NE 25^th Street, Suite 106 where they have been located for two years.

Bruce is an accountant since college and has approximately 100 clients. Ben works at Macy’s as a Visual Merchandiser and has been in that field since college. So the pairing is perfect for retail as they have one partner who makes the place look good and one who pays the bills and makes sure the books are balanced.

In the last three years they have added product lines, quantities and types of merchandise. They now carry underwear, swimwear, T shirts, shorts, jeans, belts, socks, suspenders, and jewelry. Some of the top clothing lines they sell are: Pump, Andrew Christian (huge collection), Pistol Pete, Tulio, Private Structure, Ruff Riders and almost the complete line of Whittall & Shon.

Just last week Bruce and Ben bought more fixtures to hold their expanded clothing lines and rearranged the store. The next time you go to Creative Male, they changed it so much, you won’t recognize it.

On Thursday, August 8from 6-10pm they will be celebrating the 3^rd Anniversary of Creative Male, and will feature Hors’ d’oeuvres, cocktails, giveaways and Boys modeling the latest underwear and swimwear. As they do every year on their anniversary celebration, a percentage of the sales that night will go to Charity.
