Singer Kelly Rowland, fresh off her stint judging the third season of the Fox reality singing competition The X Factor, will be making two separate appearances in Florida, singing some of her greatest hits.

She is part of the lineup at the 9th annual Jazz in the Gardens music festival, held at Sun Life Stadium (2269 NW 199th St., Miami Gardens). She will be performing an 80-minute set on the first day of the festival, Saturday, March 15, at 7:40 p.m. Then, on Friday, March 28, she will be taking the stage at Universal Studios Orlando (6000 Universal Blvd., Orlando) as part of their three-month long Mardi Gras Celebration. She is expected to take the stage at 8:30 p.m.

Kelly Rowland has been an in-demand performing artist for nearly two decades. In 1997, Kelly Rowland’s professional career began when her group, Destiny’s Child, was signed by Columbia Records. Over the next seven years, she enjoyed worldwide fame as Destiny’s Child became one of the hottest pop groups in the world, selling over 60 million albums.

Rowland has performed as a solo artist since 2002, releasing four albums of original material and selling 25 million albums in her own right. Some of her signature songs include “Dilemma” featuring Nelly, “Like This” featuring Eve, and “When Love Takes Over” and “Commander,” both produced by David Guetta. She has won four Grammy Awards, one for her solo work and three for her work with Destiny’s Child. She has also won a Soul Train Music Award, a Billboard Music Award and an International Dance Music Award. Her most recent album, “Talk a Good Game,” was released in June 2013 and peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 album charts in the United States.

While she is in Miami, Kelly Rowland will be performing with such big names as recording artist Trey Songz and award-winning actor/singer/comedian Jamie Foxx. In Central Florida, many big names will be performing in the month of March as part of Universal Studios Orlando’s Mardi Gras Celebrations, including such acts as Gavin Degraw, A Great Big World and Weezer.
