El sabor latino! Me encanta las playas bonitas de Miami y todos lugares y eventos que se puede disfrutar todo el año. ¿Qué más se puede pedir?
¿Eres soltero o tienes pareja?
No tengo pareja. He estado en 3 relaciones especiales a largo plazo. Yo no soy de los que tienen una pareja sólo para tenerla. Me gusta estar solo, pero también me gusta estar en un LTR. Sé que cuando llegue la persona correcta, todo sucederá como debería.
¿Qué cualidades buscas en tu pareja?
Busco una persona que cuida de sí mismo y vive una vida sana, alguien que es ambicioso, 
atento, sexy, que le encanta la televisión, la música ¡y la vida!
¿Qué haces en tu tiempo libre?
Salgo con amigos- salimos a comer, a los clubes, el cine, la playa, y me encanta ver True Blood, Modern Family, American Horror Story y reestrenos de Que Pasa USA o ¡todo lo que tiene que ver con Madonna!
¿Cuál es tu secreto para mantenerte en forma?
Nunca visito a mis padres durante la semana. Ja Ja Ja Cada vez que vaya, tengan toda esta comida cubana deliciosa que engorda. ¿Y si me atrevo a no comer? ¡Se ponen bravos! Pero aparte de las bromas, mantenerse en forma es siempre una batalla. Soy un entusiasta para la comida buena y me encanta comer, así que mi peso fluctúa. Me sale estricto conmigo mismo y bajo peso de nuevo. Hago ejercicio 4-5 veces a la semana y no como muchos carbohidratos.
Si pudieras visitar cualquier lugar en el mundo, ¿dónde irías?
Me gustaría ir a muchos sitios, pero ya tengo planes para ir de visita a Barcelona, España.
Cuéntanos sobre tu trabajo en Telemundo.
Telemundo es una cadena de televisión en crecimiento. Me siento muy afortunado de haber estado creciendo con ella durante tantos años. Tengo una larga historia aquí. Desde que tenía 12 años mi mamá me dejaba en el estudio, así que podría ser parte de la audiencia de un programa de juegos en vivo todos los días, haciendo todo con el sueño de trabajar algún día para una cadena de televisión. A los 17 años hice una pasantía en Telemundo. Poco después, comencé mi carrera como editor en jefe de “Deco Drive”, WSVN-CH 7. Luego fui contratado por la cadena Telemundo, donde me pusieron delante de la cámara como un reportero de entretenimiento y productor para el programa matutino de la cadena en ese tiempo, “de Mañanita” y en Mun2, el canal bilingüe de Telemundo. En el show de revista, “Fuzion”, trabajé en el departamento de promociones redactando promos para la cadena y en elaboración de segmentos especiales para los Premios Billboard Latino y el concurso de Miss Universo. He trabajado en el programa “Frecuencia” producido por Emilio Estefan, trabajando como productor y reportero que me ganó dos premios Emmy. También produjo y editó la introducción en video de Gloria Estefan por su gira europea de 2008-09. Me dirijo a todas las iniciativas de entretenimiento de la marca de Mun2, y apoyó la producción de contenido original para sus plataformas digitales, para la selección de los proyectos 360. Actualmente, soy Productor de Creative Entertainment para “Un Nuevo Día”, nuevo show de la mañana de Telemundo, nominada por el premio Emmy . Superviso todos los aspectos creativos de gráficos, promos, concursos, segmentos de alto perfil, y segmentos de película. Uno de los mejores aspectos del trabajo es que tengo la oportunidad de trabajar y conocer a todas las estrellas de cine de Hollywood! Por cierto, se puede ver “Un Nuevo Día” de lunes a viernes de 7 a 10 am en Telemundo.
¿Cómo empezaste tu carrera en la televisión?¿Siempre has deseado trabajar en la televisión?
Desde que puedo recordar … a los 8 años de edad mis padres me regalaron una cámara de video y despegó mi imaginación. Desde talk shows en vivo con el público (familiares y vecinos) hasta volverles loco grabándolos cada segundo del día. En la escuela yo era miembro del club video producción en el que fui el conductor y productor de los anuncios de la mañana en la escuela intermedia y secundaria. Mi carrera comenzó desde el día que me interné en Telemundo.
¿Cuál es la mejor cosa sobre tu trabajo?
Levantarme enamorado con mi carrera.
Tienes la oportunidad de conocer tantos famosos, ¿quién ha sido tu favorito? ¿por qué?
Yo tendría que decir que Kelly Clarkson. Me entrevistó a la estrella del pop en el set de filmación de su película “From Justin to Kelly” después tuve la oportunidad de obtener una entrevista uno a uno durante su gira mundial. Lo que hizo que esta entrevista sea tan especial es cómo realmente cariñosa y graciosa fue Kelly. No había un guardaespaldas en el lugar y hasta nos dejó solos en una habitación privada. Por lo general, es el publicista y el equipo de la estrella que le dice qué hacer y no preguntar. Kelly es un libro abierto. Si buscas Kelly Clarkson y mi nombre en “YouTube” se puede encontrar nuestra entrevista.
¿Tienes algunas palabras de inspiración para los jóvenes latinos que quieren salir del closet o están ya haciendo el proceso de salir?
Que no estás solo. Todos nosotros hemos estado allí en tu posición y que, sin duda, todo se pone mejor. Salir del closet es un proceso de aceptar, personalmente, lo que eres. Yo estaba en el closet hasta que me gradué High School. No tenía vida amorosa lo largo de mis años de adolescencia. Puede ser que te sientes el miedo, la duda, la soledad, la ira e incluso la depresión. Es bueno rodearse con otros que puedan estar pasando por la misma transición o que ya han salido. Ellos pueden ser un gran sistema de apoyo. Eso es exactamente lo que hice. Recuerde que desde que nacemos la mayoría de nosotros son criados para creer que ser gay no es normal. Tenemos que volver a programar nosotros mismos, como una computadora, para empezar a aceptar nosotros mismos. Me di cuenta de que al rodearse de amigos gays y amigos verdaderos uno puede comenzará a sentirse cómodo con uno mismo.

What is the best thing about living in South Florida?
The Caribbean Latin flavor! I love Miami’s beautiful beaches to all the hotspots and events year round. What’s not to love?
Are you single or do you have a partner?
I’m single. I have been in 3 special long term relationships. I am not one to have a partner just to have one. I enjoy being single but I also enjoy being in a LTR. When the time and person is right it will happen.
What qualities do you look for in a partner?
I look for a person who takes care of himself and lives a healthy lifestyle, someone who is ambitious, caring, sexy, loves TV, music, and life!
What do you do in your free time?
Getting together with friends, dining out, clubs, movies, beach, and watching True Blood, Modern Family, American Horror Story and re-runs of Que Pasa USA and anything Madonna!
What is your secret to staying in shape?
I never visit my parents during the week. LOL Every time I go they have all this delicious fattening Cuban food. Dare I not eat? The get very upset! But all kidding aside, staying in shape is always a battle. I am a foodie and love to eat so my weight Fluctuates. I get strict with myself and lose it again. I work out 4 to 5 times a week and balance my carbs.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would like to go to many places but one that I am planning for is Barcelona, Spain.
Tell us about your work at Telemundo.
Telemundo is a growing network. I am very fortunate to be growing with it for so many years. I have a long history here. Since I was 12 my mom would drop me off so I could be part of the audience for a daily live game show all with the dream to someday work for a TV network. At 17 years of age I interned at Telemundo. Shortly after, I began my career as Senior Editor for “Deco Drive”, WSVN-CH 7. I was then recruited by Telemundo Network, where I was put in front of the camera as an entertainment reporter and producer for the network’s morning show at that time, “De Mananita” and on Mun2, Telemundo’s bilingual channel, on the magazine show, “Fuzion”, I worked in the promotions department editing network promos and crafting feature segments for the Latin Billboard Awards show and the Miss Universe Pageant. I worked on the Emilio Estefan-produced show “Frecuencia”, working as producer and on-air reporter that won me two Emmy Awards. I also produced and edited Gloria Estefan’s video introduction for her 2008-09 European tour. I lead all Branded Entertainment initiatives for Mun2, and supported the production of original content for its digital platforms, for select 360 projects. Currently, I am Creative Entertainment Producer for “Un Nuevo Dia”. Telemundo’s newly Emmy award nominated morning show, where I oversee all the creative aspects on graphics, promos, contests, high profile segments, and movie segments. How did you get your start in TV? Have you always wanted to work in this field?
For as long as I can remember… at 8 years of age my parents gave me a video camera and my imagination ran wild from live talk shows with audience (family and neighbors) to driving my family nuts, taping them every second of the day. In school I was part of the video production club where I hosted and produced the morning announcements in middle and high school. My career began from the day I interned at Telemundo.
What’s the best part of your job?
Waking up and loving what I do.
You have the opportunity to meet so many famous people. Who has been your favorite? Why?
I would have to say Kelly Clarkson. I interviewed the pop star on the movie set of her movie “From Justin to Kelly” then I was able to get a one on one interview during her world tour. What made this interview so special is how genuinely sweet and fun Kelly was. There wasn’t a body guard in site and we were even left alone in a private room. Usually, it’s the star’s publicist and crew telling you what to ask and not ask. Kelly is an open book. If you search Kelly Clarkson and my name on “YouTube” you can find our interview.
Do you have any words of wisdom for young latinos who want to come out of the closet or who are already starting the coming out process?
You are not alone. We all been there and it definitely gets better. Coming out is the process of personally accepting who you are. I was in the closet until I graduated High School. I had no love life throughout my teenage years. You may experience fear, doubt, loneliness, anger and even depression. It’s good to surround yourself with others that may be going through the same transition or who have already come out. They can be a great support system. That’s exactly what I did. Remember since we are born most of us are raised to believe being gay is not normal. We have to reprogram ourselves like a computer to begin accepting ourselves. I found that the as you surround yourself with gay and true friends you will begin to feel comfortable with yourself.
