The AIDS Service Association of Pinellas (ASAP) will be holding one of its signature fundraising events, the Red Ribbon Dance, on Sunday, July 27, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom (5500 Shore Boulevard S., Gulfport). This marks the first time the summertime event has been held in the month of July. 
General admission tickets cost $35 per person and sponsorships start at $250; both can be purchased online at asapservices.com/redribbon and general admission tickets can be purchased at the door. Included in the cost of admission is an open bar (beer, wine and well drinks) from 4 to 6 p.m., as well as an assortment of tapas. Also featured is a live band for your dancing enjoyment. A silent auction will occur throughout the dance as well, with proceeds going to ASAP so the organization can continue to provide services to the thousands who rely on them.
ASAP, the AIDS Service Association of Pinellas, is an AIDS service organization that has provided comprehensive HIV services to the Tampa Bay community since 1987. These services include case management, substance abuse counseling, mental health counseling, the Suncoast Project rapid HIV testing site at the Flamingo Resort in St. Petersburg, support groups, financial assistance, and other resources.
The mission of ASAP is to provide high quality, culturally competent, compassionate services to persons infected or affected by HIV/AIDS by offering a comprehensive continuum of care. They also strive to influence the health and human services community in the care of all people who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS by participating on a local, regional, national and international level.
