For the gay community of St. Petersburg, Georgie’s Alibi is more than just a place to enjoy food and drinks. It’s a meeting place. Dare it be said, it’s a hub for the city’s gay population. Hundreds, if not thousands of people, pack Georgie’s out on the weekends, and the establishment is the traditional “starting line” for the yearly St. Pete Pride parade. The community has embraced them completely, and now they are reaping another reward: they are celebrating fourteen years in business.

“It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be such an integral part of our community, and we hope to continue to be a pillar of the LGBT community for many years to come,” Frank Costelli, Georgie’s Alibi manager, told Hotspots.

The staff of Georgie’s Alibi wants you to come out and help them celebrate their 14th birthday, with a weekend of big events starting with an all-night dance party on Thursday, August 28. Starting at 9 p.m., people are invited to get out on the dance floor and enjoy hot beats by DJ L Mo.

On Friday night, August 29, Georgie’s show director Kori Stevens will host a special “Divas of South Beach” drag show. Direct from South Florida, Georgie’s welcomes Missy Meyakie LePaige, Champagne Bordeaux, and Kyla McCray-Taylor. This special show will go on at 10 p.m. VJ Danny Morris will be playing your favorite songs and videos all night long!

Saturday night, August 30, promises to be an experience you won’t soon forget! From Los Angeles, the multifaceted and multitalented entertainer Flava will be performing after 9 p.m. DJ L Mo will be providing the soundtrack that will make you get your life on the dance floor!

Finally, on Sunday, August 31, Georgie’s will close out their anniversary weekend with their second annual White Party. Georgie’s is hosting this party with the help of The SMART Ride and Metro Wellness and Community Centers. Proceeds from certain drink sales and the raffles and 50/50 drawings will benefit both The SMART Ride’s 11th year and Metro Wellness as they work tirelessly for the community here in Tampa Bay every single day. Entertainment will consist of a drag show featuring Kori Stevens and friends. The party starts at 8 p.m.
