Pensábamos que íbamos a poner en marcha el año con una mirada a lo que realmente podemos esperar este año. Después de un increíblemente GAY 2014, este año promete seguir las tendencias que marcaron el comienzo de grandes cambios en la protección legal y la aceptación de la comunidad LGBT. Estamos muy contentos de ver lo que este año nuevo nos trae.
En Regreso al futuro II, Marty McFly viaja a 2015 donde encuentra monopatines flotantes, coches voladores, y todo tipo de cosas locas que, ahora que realmente hemos llegado ¨al futuro¨ nos parecen locos y fuera de lugar. En realidad ya no tenemos monopatines flotantes y todavía estamos conduciendo en carreteras, y no estamos volando, pero, sin embargo, 2015 promete ser un gran año.
El sur de la Florida tiene la suerte de contar con dos sedes que acogen “Broadway across America”. Este año, algunos de los más queridos musicales de Broadway se presentarán en Miami y Fort Lauderdale. No querrás faltar Pippin, Motown, o los varios otros espectáculos que se desarrollarán en el Adrienne Arsht Center en Miami y en el Centro de Artes Escénicas de Broward en Fort Lauderdale hasta mayo.

La temporada comienza en Fort Lauderdale con Pridefest que se celebrará 28 de febrero al 1 de marzo. A finales de marzo, celebraremos nuestro orgullo en el condado de Palm Beach y luego el 10 de abril y el 11, los ojos del mundo gay se enfocarán en Miami cuando una de las mejores fiestas gay de South Beach, Miami Beach Gay Pride, toma el control de las calles y la arena. El año pasado, Gloria Estefan fue el Gran Mariscal y el año anterior, Adam Lambert encabezó una lista increíble de artistas. ¿Quiénes van a presentar este año? No podemos esperar a ver. Vamos a celebrar y recordar los motines de Stonewall, cuando cerramos al Wilton Drive para Stonewall Pride, a finales de junio. Sabemos que va a ser caliente y lluvioso, pero vamos a venir a la fiesta de todos modos.
Además de mostrar nuestro orgullo, nosotros los gays también nos encanta una fiesta para una causa, y somos tan afortunados de acoger tres de los recaudadores de fondos más calientes 
aquí en nuestros propios patios traseros. Winter Party week comenzará el año cuando los muchachos de circuito, las turistas y lugareños por igual se reunirán para unas pocas noches calientes de fiestas a principios de marzo. Con demasiadas fiestas para describir aquí, tenemos ganas de asistir a todas, pero estamos muy emocionados por la fiesta en la playa el 8 de marzo. Winter Party Festival es un beneficio para las organizaciones locales que apoyan a la comunidad LGBT. Más adelante en el año, ya que las cosas comienzan a refrescarse en el sur de Florida, miles de hombres y mujeres se reunirán para el Smart Ride 12 13-14 de noviembre. Sin embargo, estamos seguros de no conseguir NADA de ayuda de nuestros legisladores, ya como el Partido Republicano tiene mayoría en ambas cámaras del Congreso y se puede creer que no pasarán ninguna ley que nos hará ningún favor. Por suerte, Obama puede vetar cualquiera de sus esquemas atolondrados que minen nuestros derechos y hacer avanzar su causa religiosa.
También podemos esperar que en el 2015 veamos el comienzo de la próxima carrera hacia la Casa Blanca. Ya, el ex gobernador de Florida, Jeb Bush hizo indicios de que él tiene la intención de considerar, al menos, una carrera por la nominación del Partido Republicano y senador Marco Rubio también parece estar considerando su entrada. ¿Alguno de ellos tienen lo que se necesita para llevar a nuestro país? Bush III? ¿En serio? ¿No sería genial si Hillary se corre de nuevo y tenemos otra carrera Clinton Bush para presidente?
Habrá tragedia y tristeza, habrá alegría y risas, y vamos a estar aquí con ustedes, compartiendo su alegría y sintiendo tu dolor: de cualquier manera, saludos para un gran 2015.
We thought we would kick off the year with a look at what we can really expect this year. After an amazingly GAY 2014, this year promises to continue the trend and usher in big changes in legal protections for and acceptance of the LGBT community. WE´RE HERE, WE´RE QUEER has never been truer than it is now and we are excited to see what this new year has in store for us.
In Back to the Future II, Marty McFly travels to 2015 where he finds hover boards, flying cars, 
and all kinds of crazy things that, now that we have actually arrived in ¨the future¨ seem crazy and off the mark. We don´t have those hover boards yet and we are still driving on roads, not flying about, but 2015 looks to be a great year none the less.
South Florida is lucky to have two venues that host Broadway across America. This year, some of the Broadway´s most beloved musicals will take Miami and Fort Lauderdale by storm. You won´t want to miss Pippin, Motown, or the several other shows which will run at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami and at the Broward Center for Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale through May.
In Florida, the Pride season gets started early, so get ready for what will surely be one of the best prides in memory since we will now have the freedom to marry. I am predicting mass weddings at each event and I know that the part of the parades featuring legacy couples will be extra special this year. The season kicks off in Fort Lauderdale with Pridefest which will take 
place February 28- March 1. Later in March, we will celebrate our pride in Palm Beach County and then on April 10 and 11, the eyes of the gay world will be on Miami as one of South Beach´s gay parties of the year, Miami Beach Gay Pride, takes over the streets and the sand. Last year, Gloria Estefan was the Grand Marshall and the year before, Adam Lambert headlined an amazing list of entertainers. Who will they have in store for us this year? We can´t wait to see. We will celebrate and remember the Stonewall riots when we shut down Wilton Drive in late June for Stonewall Pride. We know it will be hot and rainy, but we will come for the party anyway.
Besides showing our pride, we gays also love a party for a cause, and we are SO lucky to host three of the hottest fundraisers right here in our own back yards. Winter Party will kick off the year of giving, when circuit boys, tourists, and locals alike will come together for a few hot nights of parties in early March. With too many parties to describe here, we are looking forward to them all, but are most excited for the beach party on March 8. Winter Party Festival is a benefit for local organizations that support the LGBT community. Later in the year, as things start to cool off in South Florida, thousands of men and women will come together for the Smart Ride 12 on November 13-14. Over the past decade, Smart Riders have raised nearly $7 million for local HIV/AIDS charities and organizations. We will end our year of giving with White Party, which will take place at the end of November, during Thanksgiving weekend. As White Party enters its 4th decade of existence, their contribution to our community is invaluable and it is crazy to believe all that dancing could do so much good.
Besides the parties, Pride celebrations, and other events, other events are bound to have us talking throughout 2015. Every day, we seem to edge closer to nationwide marriage equality, and 2015 looks to be our year. However, we are sure to get ZERO help from our law makers, as the Republican Party has a majority in both houses of congress and you can believe that they won´t be passing any laws that will do us any favors. Luckily, Obama can veto any of their harebrained schemes that would undermine our rights and advance their religious cause.
We can also expect 2015 to see the beginning of the next race for the White House. Already, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush made indications that he intends to at least consider a run 
for the GOP nomination and Florida´s US Senator Marco Rubio also appears to be considering tossing his name into the hat. Do either of them have what it takes to lead our country? Bush III? Really? Wouldn´t it be great if Hillary runs again and we have another Bush Clinton race for the nation´s top job.
There will be tragedy and sadness, there will be joy and laughter, and we will be here with you, sharing your elation and feeling your pain: either way, here´s to a great 2015.
