Alton Brown has become famous around the world for his cooking show Good Eats. Alton-Brown_copy3Disheartened by the lack of history and science presented in cooking shows, Brown decided to create his own, which he described as a mix of “Julia Child, Mr. Wizard and Monty Python.” An instant success, the show ran for 14 years, from 1998-2012. He has also presented such shows as Iron Chef America and Cutthroat Kitchen for the Food Network.

This two-hour show builds on his previous tours, and is described as a mix of food experimentation, comedy, multimedia presentation, audience participation, and new to his tour this year, live music. If you’re lucky, Alton will pick you to come up on stage to be his “culinary assistant.” He recommends that you take the apron he offers you because you might make a mess!Alton-Brown_copy1
