For the third year in a row, the sexiest bachelors and bachelorettes in South Florida’s LGBT community will be getting together to auction themselves off and raise the most money theyRedHot_copy2 can for a very good cause. The Red Hot & In Style benefit event will be held at The Village Pub in Wilton Manors on Wednesday, May 20, starting at 7 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization Deliver the Dream. This event is free to attend and open to the general public.

On the night of the event, there will be a number of sexy bachelors and bachelorettes that you know very well from our community. They will be auctioning their company off to the highest bidders, and the auction winners will receive a date package in addition to their “prize.” On a future date, this entitles the auction winners to a special “date night,” where the winner and the bachelor or bachelorette will take in a show, go to a spa, or see a concert, among many options.RedHot_VPLogo

“We have a great and exciting variety of bachelors and bachelorettes this year,” Christie Galeano, Deliver the Dream event director, told Hotspots. “We can’t wait to reveal the participant line-up to everyone at our kickoff party on May 17 at The Village Pub.”

At the Red Hot & In Style event on May 20, there will also be a silent auction area set up at The Village Pub where people can bid on a lot of fun items and experiences, all to benefit Deliver thRedHot_bottome Dream. Tens of thousands of dollars have been raised per event in years past, and organizers hope to top the $40,000 mark, which was achieved at Deliver the Dream’s last public event in Hollywood.

“This event continues to grow and get better and better thanks to everyone in the community who is involved in making this a success,” Galeano said.

Deliver the Dream is an organization that provides respite for families who are dealing with sRedHot_DreamLogoerious illness or crisis. These families have loved ones who are dealing with HIV/AIDS, cancer, autism, cerebral palsy, as well as other situations. They help these families by taking them on retreats, free of charge, where they can relax, learn new coping skills for these trying times, and meet families who are dealing with similar situations. These retreats offer activities like hiking and fishing as well as therapeutic activities such as art and music, workshops and discussion groups.

Over 6,000 families from all over the Southeast have benefited from Deliver the Dream, their work, and their retreats ever since the first retreat was held thirteen years ago. Deliver the Dream proudly invites families of all kinds from all walks of life to participate in their retreats.

“We are so proud to partner with the LGBT community, as Deliver the Dream’s mission has always been inclusive of all families,” said Paul Withrow, Deliver the Dream’s executive director, in a recent message to Hotspots. “It takes a village to make our mission possible, and the generosity of our community helps us make a significant difference in the lives of countless families in crisis.”

“Our monthly retreats allow families to regain strength, mend spirits and just be families and kids again,” Withrow said.
