The Lakewoth Playhouse presents The Altruists (by Nicky Silver) from today through February 10. The Altruists tells the tale of a group of self-absorbed 20 and 30 somethings, social benefactors who suffer the consequences of mistaken identity and misconstrued relationships. These are the kids who protest. They protest arts funding and arms funding. They protest school cutbacks and AIDS cutbacks and welfare cutbacks. But, one day, their morality is put to the test.
