The Lakewoth Playhouse presents The Altruists (by Nicky Silver) from today through February 10. The Altruists tells the tale of a group of self-absorbed 20 and 30 somethings, social benefactors who suffer the consequences of mistaken identity and misconstrued relationships. These are the kids who protest. They protest arts funding and arms funding. They protest school cutbacks and AIDS cutbacks and welfare cutbacks. But, one day, their morality is put to the test. Tickets available at Lakeworth-playhouse.ticketleap.com/the-altruist.

Direct from the NYC Fringe Festival, the Empire Stage Theater presents the South Florida premiere of “The Boys Upstairs,” which invites you into the fabulous living room of Josh, Seth, and Ashley. These twenty-something Hell’s Kitchen Boys encounter all of the ups & downs, tops & bottoms that New York City life has to offer! And just as these three besties settle into a rhythm of celebrating life and then analyzing it the next morning, they are thrown for a loop when an incredibly hot neighbor moves in downstairs! The “is he or isn’t he” question is one of many these city boys ponder with style, scandal and specialty cocktails! Starring: Brennan Staaf, Benjamin Salerno, Christopher Brian, Harris Sebastian, and Dean Nigro “The Boys Upstairs” plays from today through Feb 24. Tickets are $35 (Discount Code: BOYS) at EmpireStage.com or call 954-678-1496.

The MDGLCC invites everyone to join them from 7pm-9pm for another YPN Social Mixer at Hotel Croydon’s Rooftop with 360 views of the Ocean and Miami Beach. Enjoy free cocktails and food bites, music & networking opportunities plus a free drawing for great prizes courtesy of various Chamber members.
