Whether you want to celebrate Gay Pride in your own neighborhood, or explore some of the other Florida Prides, there is definitely something for everyone. The annual celebration typically takes place in June to commemorate the Stonewall Riots, but lucky us, we also have Pride events in September, October, and November here in the Sunshine State. After a year where most huge events were canceled, everyone is super excited to get out there, celebrate and show their Pride! Here they are in chronological order:

The Stonewall Pride Parade and Street Festival in Wilton Manors

Saturday, June 19

Marketplace 3 pm, Twilight Parade 7 pm.

The annual Stonewall Pride Parade & Street Festival includes a parade and festival marketplace and a street party with Wilton Manors bars, nightclubs, museums and galleries.

“Our twilight parade with the theme, “Out of the Darkness, Into the Light” is a great way for businesses to get involved, have fun and thank the LGBTQ+ community for their loyalty and support,” said Jeff Sterling, CEO of WMEG Community Marketing and Events which organizes the annual celebration.

St. Pete Pride

Now through Saturday, June 26

St. Pete Pride is known as Florida’s largest Pride event. The event has gathered well over 100,000 members of the LGBTQ community in the past. The month-long event started with a flag raising on June 1 and has included a reception, a family event, and a Pride party along the waterfront.  There will be an Arts & Culture event on June 19 and a Pride Picnic on June 26.

Miami Beach Pride

Saturday, Sept. 18 at noon– Pride Festival on Lummus Park

Sunday, Sept. 19 at noon– Parade

In September, there are events for Miami Pride all month long, including a ball, a gala and a dance party. The largest events are the Pride Festival in Lummus Park and the parade on Ocean Drive. There will be two-stages with amazing entertainers at the festival Saturday, Sept. 18 &19, and tons of booths from LGBT businesses on the beach at the festival. On Sunday, there will be a huge parade along Ocean Drive starting at noon.

Come Out With Pride Orlando (Orlando Pride)

Saturday, Oct. 9

Orlando’s Come Out With Pride is a huge celebration that will take place on Lake Eola Park on Saturday, Oct. 9. The theme is Unified by Pride. This year is extra special because the National Trans Visibility March will take place right before the parade and festival.

Pride Fort Lauderdale

Saturday, Nov. 20 and Sunday, Nov. 21

Florida’s oldest Pride celebration is Pride Fort Lauderdale, which started in 1977. In 2017, the event’s 40th anniversary, it moved to Fort Lauderdale Beach. There will be entertainment and booths from local LGBT businesses on the beach and a huge parade down A1A.

Key West and Palm Beach also have Pride events, but they took place earlier this month.
