Saturday, October 15 was National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day – #NLAAD. Latinos en Accion Florida L.E.A commemorated this day with The Hispanic HIV Leadership Awards at Hunters Nightclub Wilton Manors, FL in Wilton Manors. Their Director of Programs, Emilio Apontesierra-Emilio Apontesierra-paretti, Community Cochairman of the Broward County HIV Prevention Planning Council –BCHPPC, did an EPI presentation on the State of Latinx and HIV in Broward County; and CEO Jorge Gardela presented of one of the five awards.
