This week is Transgender Awareness Week, and we are celebrating the 8th annual Bishop SF Makalani-MaHee Transgender Equality Awards. Queer News Tonight will be broadcasting a special Transgender edition live from the event at Hunters Wilton Manors, featuring an all trans cast of anchors. There were be several awards given out, and we are proud to announce the nominees for Transmasculine, Transfeminine, and Nonbinary individuals who are being recognized for their work in the community. The transmasculine individuals nominated are: Brayland Brown, MBA, Co-Director of The Smile Trust; Caidin Thomas Smith, MSW, Primary Therapist at Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program; Dayshaun Davis, CEO of HypeTrap Clothing; and Stefan White.
