The community is getting ready for the annual Miami Shores Pride Parade and Tea Dance on Sunday, October 22. Presented by Shores Pride, this inclusive, family-friendly event will kick off at 4:00 PM with a free parade down the Grand Concourse followed by a Tea Dance. The pride will feature this year’s headliners, Sol and the Tribu, along with talent like DJ Musicat. Drag shows, live performances are also scheduled for attendees, along with plenty of delicious food and drink items. Gorgeous and talented Poizon Ivy Lords will host this pride. On top of that, the city’s favorite personality, Mayor Levine Cava will inaugurate the Pride and open the parade & tea dance as the Grand Marshall. Attendees will have to pay $10 for generation admission to enjoy the Tea dance. VIP Tickets will also be available. Once underway, the parade will head towards the Athletic Fields for the Tea Dance. The Tea Dance will run until 8:00 PM. All profits go toward Safe Schools and toward scholarships for LGBTQ+ students through The Point Foundation. This will be a plastics, styrofoam, smoke, and weapons-free event. Miami Shores Village has partnered with the Village of El Portal, the Village of Biscayne Park, and the City of North Miami and has invited everyone to join this Coming Out Day celebration.
