The fabulous out filmmaker John Waters, known for such films as Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, Desperate Living, Hairspray, and others, finally received a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. He was surrounded by throngs of fans and well-wishers. The 77-year-old, who has long been referred to as a maestro of “trash” films or the “king of filth” said, “God, here I am, closer to the gutter than ever.”
