The Florida Renaissance Festival, sponsored by Visit Lauderdale, is currently celebrating its 32nd year of chivalrous knights and tankards of ale. Happening every weekend until March 23, Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach is transformed each year into the 16th-century Village of Kimmendale.

With a different theme each weekend, the medieval town is teeming with costumed guests for the long-running celebration that attracts people from near and far. From cannon firings and glass blowing, to shopping and mead, there is something for everyone to see and do.

Special themed weekends add to the excitement, like this weekend’s “Peg Legs and Polly’s – Part of the Ship, Part of the Crew…” which invites you to dress as your favorite scalawag or pirate-themed character. All are welcome, and the Renaissance festival celebrates diversity. Find out more at Ren-Fest.com.
