The Standing on the Shoulders of Heroes Gala will take place on Saturday, March 1, at 6 PM at The VENUE in Wilton Manors. Hosted by the Stonewall National Museum, this event celebrates LGBTQ leaders, community, and culture. Renowned swimmer and activist Diana Nyad will attend as a special guest. Celebrated author and activist Rita Mae Brown will also deliver a powerful statement.
Honorees include Tristan Schukraft, founder of MISTR and producer of Drag: The Musical, and the late Edie Windsor, whose landmark Supreme Court case advanced marriage equality.
