The Our Fund Foundation and the Community Foundation of Broward are joining forces to make a powerful impact on the LGBTQ community in Broward County. Through their 2025 LGBTQ+ Social Justice & Equity Fund, the two foundations will award a total of $360,000 in grants to ten nonprofit organizations dedicated to combating discrimination and advancing equity.
To honor donors, legacy members, and grant recipients, a special reception will be held on Thursday, April 10, at 6 PM. at The Our Fund Foundation’s headquarters in Wilton Manors. David Jobin, President & CEO of The Our Fund Foundation, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “The LGBTQ+ community is facing relentless attacks from political and social forces seeking to roll back and destroy our hard-won rights…This fund is one of the many ways we are stepping up to meet the moment—thanks to the unwavering support of donors who recognize the urgent need for a meaningful philanthropic response.”
Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D., President & CEO of the Community Foundation of Broward also highlighted the significance of collaboration, saying, “We are proud to partner with The Our Fund Foundation to create real, lasting change.”
Grant recipients, including BLINC Black LGBTQ+ Liberation, Chainless Change, Hued Song, Museum of Discovery and Science, Safe Schools South Florida, SAVE LGBTQ, TransSocial, The Humanity Project, The McKenzie Project, and Thinking Cap Theatre, will receive between $29,000 and $50,000 each. The 2025 LGBTQ+ Social Justice & Equity Fund represents a commitment to fostering an inclusive, informed, and equitable environment for Broward County’s queer community—an investment in a brighter, more just future.
