The South Florida Friendly Visitor Program will host a new volunteer training session on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at a beautiful intracoastal location in Fort Lauderdale. Organized by SAGE, the nation’s oldest and largest organization dedicated to LGBTQ+ elders, this program will continue its mission of building bridges across generations. During the event, new volunteers will learn how to provide companionship to LGBTQ+ older adults who are at higher risk of social isolation. The training will be led by me.
