Our Hotspots Happening Out LGBTQ lifestyle magazine Hotspots is back with features on the South Florida premiere of & JULIET, the bold, high-energy musical reimagining Shakespeare’s classic love story, with a queer-forward twist and a soundtrack packed with pop anthems. Playing December 30 through January 4 at the Adrienne Arsht Center before heading to the Broward Center January 13–25, the show asks what would happen if Juliet chose life, love, and her own future.

Created by the Emmy-winning writer of Schitt’s Creek, & JULIET features hits like Since U Been Gone, Roar, and Baby One More Time, all by legendary hitmaker Max Martin. Miami audiences will also cheer hometown favorite Joseph Torres as Romeo. In an exclusive Hotspots interview, non-binary actor Nico Ochoa, who plays May, shares a message for the community: “My message is to always keep shining and shine your light wherever you can… If I can do this as a non-binary actor, so can you!” This feature story and many more are included in your free copy of the upcoming issue of Hotspots Magazine on stands this Thursday, December 18.
