Married influencers Toby and Mikey Perryman-Payne, known online as Toby’s Home, have shared a video describing an alleged assault during a past trip to Los Angeles. The couple, recognized for posting home renovation and organization content, told followers they were drugged after a night out in West Hollywood in September 2024.
Toby said in the video: “When we were in LA in September 2024, we went for dinner in West Hollywood and then went to a bar afterwards. We ordered one drink and then completely blacked out…I then woke up in a completely strange place, with a person I didn’t recognise and I had been completely stripped of all my clothes.” Toby said he realized he was surrounded by weapons and feared for Mikey’s safety.
He explained that he persuaded the individual present to let him leave the room, where he found Mikey unconscious. Mike said that Toby’s quick-thinking saved both of them, and they managed to get out. The couple said the experience left a lasting emotional impact, including avoiding social situations. Toby said, “This year, we are taking our power back, we are taking control of things and not letting stupid idiots ruin our existence.” They have since traveled to Barbados. Followers responded with messages of support online.
