A new U.S. survey commissioned by Bespoke Surgical in New York is shedding light on body confidence and dating pressures within gay culture. The study questioned 3,300 people nationwide, including respondents asked about perceptions of penis size. The average self-reported erect length in the U.S. was 6.34 inches, with many respondents admitting they sometimes exaggerate when talking with friends or partners. Among gay men, 47% said they feel anxious about their size before intimacy with a new partner, compared to 36% of straight and bi men.
