On Saturday, May 9, The Banyan Bowl at Pinecrest Gardens came alive with “Ballet in the Gardens,” a neoclassical program curated to reflect the Gardens’ tropical beauty. Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami featured a program of elegance and artistic innovation, performed under the stars at an open-air amphitheater.

On Wednesday, May 13, The Seminole Hardrock Hotel and Casino Hollywood presented the iconic “Eagles” in their “The Long Goodbye Act III.” As suspected the Hardrock Live was packed for this amazing concert.

On Friday, May 15, the Broward center for the performing Arts presented Jason Mraz. Hotspots own Dale Stine, who is a big Mraz fan said the concert was GREAT!
Also on Friday, CityPlace Doral debuted its “Summer Lovin,” free, seasonal art installation. “Summer Lovin’” transformed the Center into a vibrant, photo-ready escape and is up through Aug. 16, bringing a playful expression of love and color to the heart of Doral

On Saturday, May 16, Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale celebrated a milestone year at the 10th Annual Smoke on the Water BBQ Feast, at Esplanade Park in downtown Fort Lauderdale. This signature culinary event brought together some of South Florida’s most talented pitmasters and food vendors for an afternoon dedicated to bold flavors and smoky perfection. It was yum, yum!

In the late afternoon I went to Wilton Manors for the last installment of the season of Art Walk Wilton Manors, and there were lots of artists and admirers. Art Walk returns in October and as usual will be the third Saturday of the month.

Later that night, I headed over to LeBoy to celebrate the birthday of one of my BFF’s Howard Andrew. I think Howard had a good time, but why don’t you all look at the pic and let me know?
