Just in time for Mother’s Day, Lambda Legal released a touching short film called Letters of Love. The one-minute video features 17-year-old trans teen Sonu reading a heartfelt letter to his mom, thanking her for always letting him be himself—from shopping in the boys’ section to supporting his legal name change. Sonu’s parents also revealed they moved to New York for a more supportive environment. Sonu ended the message on a simple note: “Everybody deserves love.”
