Billy Porter stopped by CBS Mornings to promote his new starring role in La Cage Aux Folles, but the conversation took an awkward turn thanks to guest co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
After Porter celebrated the production as bringing “Black, queer joy” at a time it’s desperately needed, Hasselbeck chimed in with, “I’m not really a drag person, but I’m a person person.” Porter didn’t take the bait and simply moved the conversation back to the show and his excitement about working with Wayne Brady.
