Summer is here, and we are excited to invite you to our next Silver Pride+ Connection gathering on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Holy Cross Family Health Center in Oakland Park. As many of you know, Silver Pride+ is more than just a meeting. It is a place where LGBTQ+ adults age 50 and older can connect, learn, share experiences, and build meaningful friendships in a welcoming and affirming environment. This Month’s Topic is Navigating the Healthcare System Without Burnout.

During this session, we will talk about practical ways to advocate for yourself, stay organized, understand your rights as a patient, and reduce the stress that often comes with navigating today’s healthcare system. Whether you are managing your own care, supporting a partner or family member, or simply trying to stay ahead of the game, this discussion will provide useful tips and real-world insights. We are honored to welcome Dr. Jason Ceavers as our guest speaker. Dr. Ceavers is a primary care physician who is widely respected for his compassionate approach to care and his commitment to LGBTQ+ communities and people living with chronic illnesses.

In August, we will be discussing Philanthropy, Advance Care Medical Planning, and medical decision-making. In September, we will be covering Becoming community advocates and leaders. In October, we will be discussing Cancer screenings and prevention after the age of 50. Speakers have already confirmed this fall season appears to be a hit already! Registration is limited to 25 participants.
