For nearly a decade, Paul Rolli has been a familiar face in Wilton Manors—walking neighborhoods, supporting local businesses, attending community events, and listening to the residents who make the Island City such a unique place to call home. Now, after serving two terms on the City Commission, including two years as Vice Mayor, Rolli is seeking the office of Mayor with a vision rooted in decisive leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a deep commitment to protecting the character and future of the city he loves.
“Wilton Manors isn’t just where I serve—it’s my home,” Rolli says. “Every decision we make today will shape the future of our community for years to come. My goal is to ensure that future remains bright, sustainable, and true to the values that have made our city so special.”
As Wilton Manors continues to evolve, Rolli believes the city stands at an important crossroads. Growth and redevelopment are creating new opportunities, but they also present significant challenges that require experienced leadership and the willingness to make difficult decisions.
“We cannot afford indecision or inaction,” Rolli says. “The challenges facing our city demand leadership that is willing to tackle issues head-on, make tough calls when necessary, and work collaboratively to deliver results.“
Throughout his tenure on the City Commission, Rolli has earned a reputation for being accessible, engaged, and solutions oriented. Whether attending neighborhood association meetings, meeting one-on-one with residents, or collaborating with local business owners, he has made community input a cornerstone of his public service.
“The best ideas don’t always come from City Hall,” Rolli says. “They come from residents who live here every day, who understand the challenges in their neighborhoods, and who care deeply about the future of Wilton Manors.”
One of the issues residents raise most frequently is affordability. Like many South Florida communities, Wilton Manors has seen rising housing costs that have made it increasingly difficult for working families, young professionals, and longtime residents to remain in the city.
Rolli was instrumental in creating the City’s first-time homebuyers program to help buyers with down payment and closing cost assistance. But he believes the city must do more. While many talk about affordable and workforce housing, Rolli has already begun meeting with regional and local officials to identify practical opportunities and partnerships that will create meaningful housing solutions while preserving neighborhood character.
“Wilton Manors has always been a place where people from all walks of life can find community and opportunity,” Rolli says. “I want to make sure the next generation has the same chance to build a life here that so many of us have enjoyed.”
A longtime financial professional and former executive within a major federal agency, Rolli brings extensive budgeting and management experience to local government. That background has shaped his approach to fiscal responsibility and long-term planning.
Looking ahead, Rolli believes the most significant issues facing Wilton Manors over the next several years are the potential loss of municipal revenue due to state property tax proposals and the implementation of Florida’s anti-DEI law scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2027.
Rather than waiting for these challenges to arrive, Rolli is already working proactively with advocacy organizations, regional partners, and community stakeholders to ensure Wilton Manors is prepared to respond.
“We know these challenges are coming,” Rolli says. “The question is whether we prepare now or wait until it is too late. I believe in being proactive, protecting our residents, and ensuring Wilton Manors remains financially stable and true to its values.”
Throughout his tenure, Rolli has also demonstrated leadership on critical regional infrastructure issues. Recognizing the importance of wastewater capacity to the city’s future growth and financial health, Rolli became the first elected official from Wilton Manors to actively participate in the regional wastewater working group. His involvement has focused on ensuring the city receives fair treatment regarding future capacity allocations and advocating for an equitable cost-sharing formula that protects local taxpayers.
“Infrastructure decisions made today will impact Wilton Manors for decades,” Rolli says. “Our city needs to be at the table, and I have made sure our voice is heard.“
Transparent and accountable government has likewise been a hallmark of Rolli’s public service. He has consistently advocated for reforms that strengthen public trust and ensure elected officials remain responsive to residents.
Infrastructure, mobility, and economic vitality have also remained key priorities. Rolli has consistently supported practical solutions to improve parking, transportation access, and connectivity throughout the city while avoiding unnecessary burdens on taxpayers.
Most recently, he proposed expanding public parking opportunities within the growing Dixie Highway corridor, an area that continues to attract investment and economic activity.
“Supporting our local businesses means making it easier for people to visit, shop, dine, and enjoy everything our city has to offer,” Rolli says. “Economic vitality and quality of life go hand in hand.”
While much of his work has focused on finances, infrastructure, housing, and government accountability, Rolli says preserving the spirit of Wilton Manors remains at the heart of his campaign.
“Our community’s strength comes from its people,” he says. “Wilton Manors has always been a place that welcomes everyone, celebrates individuality, and embraces diversity. That is something worth protecting and preserving.“
As Mayor, Rolli says he will continue bringing people together, building consensus, and providing the decisive leadership necessary to address the challenges ahead.
“My vision is simple,” Rolli says. “I want Wilton Manors to remain a city where people are proud to live, where businesses are excited to invest, where neighborhoods remain strong, and where future generations can thrive. We have accomplished a great deal together, but our best days are still ahead.“
For Rolli, the campaign for Mayor is not simply about the next election—it’s about ensuring Wilton Manors continues to balance progress with preservation, innovation with responsibility, and growth with community values.
And as he looks toward the future, he remains optimistic.
