Slay the Soufflé! – Easy Cheese Soufflé Extravaganza
INGREDIENTS
- Butter for greasing, because everything needs a little lubrication.
- 2 tablespoons butter, double the drama.
- 2 tablespoons flour, the foundation, like a good pair of heels.
- 1 cup warm milk, steamy, like your last situationship.
- 3 large eggs, separated, sometimes separation is healthy.
- 1 cup grated cheese, choose something bold, like you.
- Salt and pepper, season it like you mean it.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and butter your dish like you’re prepping a runway.
- Melt the butter, whisk in the flour, and cook for a minute, think of it as warming up before a lip-sync.
- Add the warm milk slowly, whisking until it thickens into a luscious, creamy fantasy.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cheese until it melts like your heart at Pride.
- Whisk in the egg yolks, smooth, silky, giving “main character energy.”
- Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Yes, stiff. Peaks. I said what I said.
- Fold the whites into the base gently, like you’re handling a fragile ego.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until it rises dramatically, like a diva hitting her high note.
- Serve immediately, soufflés and drag queens do not wait.
