The 16th annual Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival returns today through Sunday, December 10 with their new partner Wine Spectator. Art Basel Miami Beach, said to be North America’s most comprehensive international contemporary art fair, returns for its 21st edition today and goes through Sunday December 10. The Bears of South Florida present their annual Holiday Party from 6:30-9:00 pm at the Pride Center. In the Ivy Dance Room and Patio, Noche Latina Saturdays celebrates the anniversary by Presenting “Velvet’s Boylesque” show starring Velvet Lenore and her sexy men, along with Oscar Novva hosting, resident DJ Duniel playing your favorite Latin tunes and sexy Go-Go Papi’s Justin and Amone. The Winners of the Justin Flippen Manatee Contest 2023; the top winning students from Wilton Manors Elementary and Somerset Academy Village will exhibit at Claudia Castillo ART starting tonight through January 5th. This year the contest celebrates its 5th anniversary. They received close to 600 entries from both schools. Winners to be announced at the December 12th City of Wilton Manors Commission meeting.
The December Boca Raton Fine Art Show will feature 100 juried artists selected from applying artists across the nation. The Wilton Manors Business Association and Harmony Waves presents the annual Holiday Spectacular in Richardson Historic Park. This event will be hosted by television and radio personality FayWhat?!, and Stoli USA National LGBTQ+ Ambassador Patrik Gallineaux. The headliner will be Tony Award-winner Matt Doyle, accompanied by a lineup of local South Florida entertainers: Christopher Hamblin, Delta Miles, Eytan Deray, Jennifer McClain, João Santos, Jonathan Hawkins, Julia Lemigova, LeNora Jaye, Matthew Darren, Miss Bouveé, Qya Cristál, Roxy Pops, Synergy Twins, Tina Burner, and Yoli Mayors. Uwe will be celebrating his 60th birthday and he is making it a fundraiser for Grateful Paws Dog and Cat Rescue at The Hub Patio at Pub on the Drive. From 6-8pm is the private event and then at 8pm it’s open to the public and will feature a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and a special show with Brian Mason. Every dollar raised goes to Grateful Paws.

Santa’s workshop will take over The LGBT Visitor Center & Pridelines space in Miami Beach for the 16th Annual HoliGay Celebration and Toy Drive, from 6-9 pm. This event is produced by the Greater Miami LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) and Pridelines in collaboration with the LGBT Visitor Center. The entire LGBT & Allied communities are invited to bring an unwrapped toy as a contribution to families and children in need on Miami Beach. The Miami Beach police department will manage the distribution of the collected toys to these families. The event which will feature and open bar, complimentary food and other beverages will be available for the delight of guests courtesy of partners including CrepeMaker, Pizza Rustica, Southern Glazer, Bacardi & Twist among others. Festive music by DJ JesiMixx of Event Party Productions. The event will also feature the Miami Gay Chorus singing some holidays songs for us all.

“The Art of Drag” Pop-Up Truck Tour, powered by Max’s “Human By Orientation,” the app’s audience initiative designed to elevate and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, will stop at Palace Bar in South Beach on Friday, December 8 and the following day in the Arts District’s R House Wynwood on Saturday, December 9, for two drag brunch sittings each day, embedding itself into Miami’s busy fair weekend programming. Both stops include dozens of free drag makeovers for attendees during scheduled drag brunches, plus pop-up performances, product giveaways, and other surprises.
