The GaYBOR District Coalition will be hosting a Candidate Forum at Gaspar’s Grotto at the next meeting, Friday, October 8th. Everyone is welcome to attend. The 4:00 meeting will have candidates on both sides of the party lines telling how they can make a difference in Hillsborough County, Florida or up in Washington, D.C. The 286+ member coalition will have local, state and national candidates attending. Each candidate will have 5 minutes to address the group on his/her hot topic issues.

We Go Gaga!
Lady Gaga is coming to the St. Pete Times Forum Saturday, April 16th, so her website says. Tickets go on sale this Saturday through TicketMaster.com. The Monster Ball Tour may feature the likes of a meat dress, but we are not sure of that. There’s always a tapioca skirt! The dance routines with the boys, outlandish hit songs and of course the cutting edge outfits. The starlet diva has been in Tampa numerous times prior to her famed international status, having performed at G. Bar and the Ritz both in Historic Ybor City. Front row seats… Me First, me first!
People Are Talking
The Queen & I Thai Restaurant on Central Ave. in St. Petersburg will be opening soon, darlings! The Judy B. Goode Show has been packing them in on the roof at DIVE every Friday night! Speaking of Gulfport events, do mark down the 1st Friday and the 3rd Saturday night for a great time at the monthly Gulfport Art Walk. Mamma at The Reservoir Bar gave 4 birthday spankings in one night! One of the guys after the spanking declared to everybody, “I think I like it!” Naughty, naughty! The most asked question this week was, “What are you wearing to the All Hallows Ball?” We are not telling! At Play in Ybor, Deb & Steph were talking about the crazy road trips for the singing duo. What was Steph’s road name? Sue Veneer. A new retail office furniture store is going in where Teatro’s on 7th was in Centro Ybor. A lot of the old fixtures and booths are now only a memory. A sad goodbye to Domain Food & Spirits in Gulfport. A lot of people are stirred about the St. Pete Pier’s Pyramid Building being torn down! One last thing…. GO RAYS!
