Here’s a sentence we didn’t know we needed: Jacob Elordi is Frankenstein’s Monster—and the internet is officially down bad. Netflix has just released a first look at Frankenstein, directed by none other than Guillermo del Toro, and let’s just say, fans are already foaming at the mouth.

Starring Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi as the Creature and Moon Knight’s Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, this adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is shaping up to be a gothic thirst trap. A teaser dropped on June 1, warning us that “only monsters play God,” as Oscar Isaac’s Victor grimly reflects, “In seeking life, I created death.” Now, new images of Elordi in full monster mode are out, and let’s just say, this “monster” isn’t stopping fans from getting feral online.

Dressed in a black cloak, with piercing eyes and green scarred skin peeking through, Elordi’s version of the Creature has inspired some… unfiltered responses, with one comment saying, “He can top me.” Originally, the role was meant for Andrew Garfield, but Elordi stepped in after Garfield exited due to scheduling conflicts.

Elordi has even transformed his apartment into a shrine for the role, covering the walls with Bernie Wrightson’s iconic illustrations from the 1983 Frankenstein. Netflix’s Frankenstein will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival this September before dropping on the platform in November. So buckle up, queers—this monster’s about to slay.
