Tuesday night, a group of LGBT business leaders came together at the Stonewall Library to discuss a cohesive approach to uniting the Greater Fort Lauderdale gay community. It was standing room only as the group had an open and frank discussion on key issues ranging from common business goals to forward planning. To that end, the group was unanimous in support of forming a new leadership group currently being referred to as the LGBT Think Tank. On Thursday, Adam’s Interiors hosted an Evening of Elegance showcasing many of their newest designer furniture lines. Guests were treated to the finest hors díoeuvres and cocktails while being serenaded by superb live entertainment. In the short time since Adamís Interiors first opened their doors, I have come to appreciate their wonderful selection of modern and unique furniture from around the globe without the exorbitant prices. Congratulations to owner Mike Flick and his very talented team for hosting such a memorable evening. Also on Thursday was Argenti Designer Jewelers grand opening at its new location at 218 East Commercial Blvd in Lauderdale by the Sea. They served delicious hors díoeuvres and cocktails and on the way out we were handed a gift bag (my weakness. ..LOVE THEM!!). After leaving Argenti I headed to the Signature Grand for Broward Houses ìThe Mad hatters Tea Party Gala Dinner and Awards. The night which honored Ken Keech and Susan Teli was hosted by Nikki Adams and Ted Scouten and featured a full sit down dinner, open bar, a stellar performance by Erika Norell and Kitty Meow, music and dancing, and a Las Vegas style casino. If that ís not a recipe for fun, what is? Saturday night a few members of the Hotspots crew were at the Broward Center taking in the hit musical Legally Blonde. The show is a brilliantly written comedy coupled with an outstanding musical score. The stage production took the story to the next level and was met by thunderous applause from the sold out audience.
