Last Wednesday was the 5th meeting of the Rainbow Business Coalition of Greater Fort Lauderdale and an amazing amount of business owners attended. This organization seems to have its priorities in order and has some big plans for the community….stay tuned. Afterwards I went to the Boardwalk with a lot of the Hotspots staff for the final day of their 25th anniversary celebration where the yacht trip was given away. While there we took the opportunity to eat at Beefcake’s and once again the food was delicious. Thursday night was the first finals of the Cuchifrito underwear contest.

WhatsHot4Thursday night was the first finals of the Cuchifrito underwear contest. All I can say is that Cuchifrito is like Vegas and what happens at Cuchifrito stays there. Make sure you go by on a Thursday and try not to get wet. Friday started the first half of the Alice in Naughtyland party at Living Room and then Saturday was the second half at Discotekka in downtown Miami. Both venues were decorated over the top and had wall to wall crowds. Congrats to Christian, Mark, Wendy, Joe, Vegas, Milancita, Danny and the entire staffs of Living Room and Discotekka on another successful collaboration. Sunday was the final day of the Alibi’s 13th anniversary and featured performances by Porsche as well as tons of giveaways. Congratulations to Jackson, Mark and the entire Alibi Corporation on 13 fabulous years – here’s hoping you have at least 13 more!

WhatsHot14In an uncommonly swift, surprise decision, the State of Florida’s Board of Nursing has reinstated Ray Fetcho (aka Tiny Tina), the LPN who was fired for a conviction related to his participation in a wet jockeys contest over 30 years ago. The decision took officials less than 30 days to publish, which is an unprecedented timeframe and ruling. This is being hailed as “a victory for LGBT employment rights.” Congratulations to my friend Ray!
