Sunday the South River District (SORDI) and the 13th Street Alliance produced the Green Dog Day Festival on 13th Street which brought out lots of spectators and their furry best friends. Kudos to SORDI and the alliance for a fantastic inaugural event. Also Sunday was the Aqualicious T Dance, which is the only event during Aqua Girl weekend that is specifically a mixed boy/girl event (of course boys are welcome to all of their events). This was the 2nd time they had this event and once again it was successful, with Tracy Young taking the helm at the DJ booth and keeping the old Amnesia venue (now called Klutch) packed until closing. Alan T and Flavio Nisti were hosting and kept the party exciting. Until next week, be safe, play safe and party safe!

Artware Editions is pleased to announce the launch of E for Effort’s Loose Leaf apparel for women, men, kids and babies. This marks the first time they have included apparel in their ever-expanding selection of functional objects by visual artists! The design for Loose Leaf apparel is based on the widely-known loose leaf notebook paper that has a simple white background with blue horizontal lines and a red margin line. E for Effort turned this nostalgic design into a screenprint and has hand-printed each piece of apparel thereby turning basic white t-shirts and tanks into unique works of art. Each piece of Loose Leaf apparel is thus unique and can be left as is or become an interactive “canvas” for writings, drawings or otherwise. All pieces are machine washable and range from $20 to $65. For more information or to place an order please visit ArtwareEditions.com.
