Tampa Bay Concierges Tour Historic Ybor City
YCDC (Ybor City Development Corp) hosted the Tampa Bay Concierge Association for a social walk through historic Ybor City. Mark and I, being a YCDC board member, took part in the 80+ members walking tour. There were stops at the Ritz Ybor, Hamburger Mary’s, King Corona, Green Iguana, and the Castle. Along the way Captain Morgan appeared getting ready for the annual month long Gasparilla Festivities. A nice welcome bag was also given to each of the areas hotel directors. They are always giving positive exposure to Tampa and Ybor City, to conventioneers, businessmen and tourists needing activities to do in Tampa. They give the best advice.
Tabatha from BRAVO at Hamburger Mary’s
In the GaYBOR Spirit, Hamburger Mary’s & The Honey Pot worked together and brought Tabatha Coffey of “Tabathas Salon Takeover” on BRAVO TV to GaYBOR. The line of fans was incredible. Tabatha was quite the good sport and stayed until every book was signed, then joined the party in GaYBOR!!!
DJ Abel @ The El Gancho Party
The first circuit party for GaYBOR, El Gancho, lived up to all expectations & more! In conjunction with the Gasparilla Invasions, there were two huge parties one was a Fetish at the Castle nd the other a Circuit Party with DJ Abel. All of GaYBOR opened their arms to over 1,000 guests.

Once again the Honey Pot in GaYBOR was the world center of fabulous drag! It was an evening full of beauty, talent and just a little drama. You can just image the reaction when the crowed learned that a pre op was a post op! The contestant was quickly escorted out of the building! Congratulations to Bob Taylor the event organizer, the judges and all the beautiful contestants!
The Chelsea’s Karaoke Contest
The Chelsea Nightclub has begun the local portion of Talent Quest Sunshine State 2011, a Regional Karaoke singing championship. The Top Talent Contest at the Chelsea began on January 16th and goes through March 13th. On March 20, the contest finalists will be judged by Talent Quest Sunshine State judges who will select and put forth 18 candidates, registration fees paid, to the local finals – are you one of them?
