The fifth annual Bartenders, Boxers and Briefs Underwear Auction benefiting Tuesdays Angels takes place on Monday, July 23rd starting at 8 pm at Bill’s.

Founded in 1993, Tuesday’s Angels Inc. began as a charity to give emergency financial assistance to those with HIV/AIDS and has evolved into a nonprofit organization that today countless people in the Fort Lauderdale seek for assistance. For more information on go to TuesdaysAngels.org.

Jackson Padgett (Bill’s and Alibi) said “Mark and I have always found Tuesdays Angels to be a worthy organization and it has always been our pleasure to get the community business owners together to unite for such a great cause.”

The live auction, which will feature 20 to 25 bartenders, starts at 9 pm and will be hosted by  Nikki Adams, Miss Kitty, Russell of The Stable and special guest MC’s Toni Barone and Tom Wolfe of Falcon and Raging Stallion Studios. They invite you to come in and bid on your favorite bartender from various local bars including Corner Pub, Rosies, The Manor, Alibi, Bill’s, Mona’s, Boardwalk, Tropics and many more.  If you are the high bid you get to remove the underwear you bid on from that bartender  right on stage. In addition they will feature a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction which at press time had over $5,000 in merchandise including a Computer accessories basket $500 value, 3 night stay at the Worthington/Alcazar, Leather Jacket from Wilson Leather, Cologne baskets, Liquor baskets and much more.

Organizer Don Clark wanted me to make sure that everyone realizes that this is a community effort and without the help of the entire community this fundraiser could not happen. When asked how he felt about the event Don said “I am really excited. Over the past 4 years we have raised over $60,000 for Tuesday’s Angels. It is my goal to raise $20,000 this year for this really needy organization, so I ask everyone to come out to help me reach this goal.”
