Thursday evening was the VIP Party and first day of the 4 day weekend celebrating Matty’s 4th anniversary. Many movers and shakers were on hand to wish Matty a happy 4th. The VIP party featured open bar along with a huge complimentary buffet. Unfortunately I could not get out of my house on Sunday (Isaac was keeping me hostage) for the Lady Kier of DeeLite performance, but my friend Velvet LeNore (who opened for Lady Kier with her dance company) told me it was rockin! Saturday night The Kinsey Sicks, America’s dragapella show, performed their new show “Electile Dysfunction” at the Broward Center for one night only. Their pre and post show party was at Rosie’s and was almost as fun as the actual show!Sunday late night, after the worst of Isaac passed us, Azucar opened for their Domingo de Escandalo show starring Teresita La Caliente, Darilyn Lafontaine, Mariloly and special guest, 
direct from RuPaul’s Drag Race Jiggly Caliente. In addition to this great show which featured many other guest entertainers and went on for 3 hours, they were celebrating the birthday of Jose Gamayo’s. Congrats to Arturo for a packed show and a very Happy 33rd birthday to Jose!

The Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, Nova Southeastern University and the Miramar Cultural Center ArtsPark presents All That Jazz: Photographs of Jazz Legends from September through December on display in the Ansin Family Art Gallery. The photography exhibit features iconic images of jazz greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, Dexter Gordon, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Quincy Jones, and includes work by William Gottlieb and Herman Leonard, two of the genre’s best known photographers. The gallery is open Monday and Friday from 10 am to 4 pm, and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm.
