From the Hurricane Showdown, to the Leather Masked Ball, to all of the White Party Events, as well as the events the clubs were having, I am tired just remembering it all. Thursday, November 29

whats hot sf 09Actor D.J. Pierce, primarily known as the drag character “Shangela,” (who is a really nice person and friend of South Florida) will guest star on the special Thanksgiving episode of FOX’s hit series “Glee” at 9 pm est. Pierce will appear in drag on the episode alongside Lea Michelle, Chris Colfer, Dean Geyer and featured celebrity guest Sarah Jessica Parker.

 


Friday, November 30

Alex Infiniti and Rob Life’s Rehab Fridays at Solare Coliseum presents Yara Sofia from RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars live. This event is 18 to party and 21 to drink and stars DJ’s Jarell, Lannier and is hosted by Daisy Deadpetals with shows by Darylin La Fontane, Kiara Knight and friends. 

Bubble Gum Fridays at the Manor presents the Red Ribbon Ball, in honor of World AIDS Day starring DJ’s JPS and Miik with shows by Estephania, TP and Sasha.

Tonight and tomorrow the Boardwalk presents Rentboy.com giveaway nights where the first 50 people through the door each night will receive a $20 vakue T-shirt or calendar.

Today is World AIDS Day and there will be events happening all over the state of Florida. For more information see the feature in this magazine.

Bill’s presents in honor of World AIDS Day 2 performers. Catch Cashetta in the Mustang Lounge from 9-11pm and then at 11 pm catch the fabulous talents of Porsche on the main stage. They will also be featuring 50/50 raffles to benefit Broward House.

Tonight there are 2 big events at the Manor. In the Epic Nightclub they present a special event for the ALandChuck.Travel Pillage and Plunder cruise entitled “Revenge of the Wench, A Pirates Life for Me” starring Dj Oren Nizri and RuPaul drag stars Bebe Zahara Benet, Shannel, Shangela, Yara Sofia and Carmen Carerra. Hotspots start at midnight and continue through 2:30am. In the Latin Room and patio they will be celebrating the official victory party for their hostess, Viva Mirage, winning Miss Lady Boy 2013 with special guest Sasha Lords and DJ Larry Larr. 10:30pm to 4 am with no Cover!

The Ramrod presents Pig Dance #52 with special guest DJ Alex Ramos back by popular demand.

Boom presents a party for AlandChuck.Travel Pillage and Plunder cruise starring RuPaul Drag Stars Alisa Summers, Jade and Jessica Wild. This is also a benefit for Stonewall Street Festival.

The Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival continues its monthly movie series “GLOW Miami” by presenting “Cloudburst,” directed by Tom Fitzgerald Adapted from the award-winning play, Thom Fitzgerald’s “Cloudburst” starring Olympia Dukakis and Brenda Fricker, tells the tale of a lesbian couple who has been together for 31 years. When Dot is committed to a nursing home by her meddling granddaughter, her partner Stella comes to Dot’s rescue. Together, they escape from a Maine nursing home and head to Canada to obtain a marriage license and have their relationship legally recognized. Along the way, they pick up a sexy, shirtless hitchhiker and the familial plot thickens and evolves. The movie will be showing at  O Cinema – Miami Shores (9806 NE 2nd Avenue) with a 7p.m. cocktail reception–cash bar & complimentary hors d’oeuvres and an 8 p.m. Screening. The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County Presents the House Theatre of Chicago’s The Nut Cracker, a Magical New Play (it’s not a ballet! it’s a brand new play!). The Chicago Tribune said “Child-friendly, but also hip and adult,” and Time Out Chicago said “The ingenious reimagining of traditional characters makes this production significantly more engaging, story-wise. The stakes are higher, the magic more intense!” The Nut Cracker, a Magical New Play will preview of Thursday November 29 with opening night being Friday, November 30 and playing through December 30.
