St. Pete Art and Fashion Week runs September 16-21, featuring a series of art and runway fashion SPArt 1shows presented in St. Petersburg, Florida once a year in September. The weeklong charity event includes VIP parties, boutique events, a silent auction and art and runway shows. This year St. Pete Art and Fashion Week has chosen Morning Star School as their beneficiary.

Morning Star is a non-profit school serving students with a variety of learning challenges and related difficulties. Morning Star School provides Kindergarten through 10th grade students with a full-day, comprehensive curriculum in a structured small group setting.

The school is seeking contributions for a variety of items including funds to build portables for high school students in order to expand through the 12th grade.

SPArt 2St. Pete Art and Fashion Week will be assisting in fundraising through ticket sales, sponsorship, donations, auctions, and more. Any donation, large or small, is greatly appreciated.

Morning Star School’s wish list includes: building classrooms (portables) for the high school, 24 desks for new classrooms, 20 iPads, upgrading classroom computers, class sets of reading books for the library, expanding the basketball court and add a second basketball hoop, athletic equipment for PE classes and extended day program, and tuition assistance.

The “Fashion for Charity” event will take place at four different locations in downtown St. Petersburg including Jannus Landing’s Club Detroit, Suzette’s on Central and One Progress Plaza. Events include unique fashion and art experiences. Complimentary food and drinks will be served on Friday and Saturday, provided by the Avenue. Admission to the events vary from $0- $45 for general admission tickets, tickets are just $20 for SPArt 3Friday’s Art & Cocktails for a Cause event and $45 on Saturday for admission to view the designer runway shows along with a performance by Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Tampa Bay. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $125 and include complimentary food and beverages at the VIP party on Monday, September 16. VIP attendees also receive front row seating at Saturday’s runway show.

St. Pete Art and Fashion Week designers include Chateau De Curb Gear, Helen Gerro, Boutique La Rochelle, Diana’s Tropical Wear, Two Coconuts Swimwear, Jacka Designs, Fidel, and Lujeanik Designs.

This creative event was founded by Dona Crowley, a Tampa Bay resident, owner of Luxe Fashion Group and publisher of VM Magazine.
