Fans of the hit FOX singing competition series American Idol can see this season’s talented Top
Ten finalists live when the American Idol Live! tour comes to Florida. The finalists will be making
three stops in Florida, the first being the Van Wezel Performing Arts Centre in Sarasota on
Thursday, July 17 at 8 p.m. The second stop brings the show up the Suncoast to Ruth Eckerd
Hall in Clearwater on Friday, July 18 at 8 p.m. Finally, the show stops in South Florida, with a
performance in the AuRene Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort
Lauderdale on Saturday, July 19 at 8 p.m.
As in past years, American Idol Live! has partnered with The Melanoma Research Alliance. For
every ticket purchased for the tour, American Idol Live! will donate $1 to The Melanoma Research Alliance to help cure melanoma. For more information on the Melanoma Research Alliance, visit their website at curemelanoma.org.
American Idol Live! gives fans the unique opportunity to be up close and personal with Season 13 finalists, such as winner Caleb Johnson, runner up Jena Irene, Bradenton native and fan favorite Sam Woolf, and MK Nobilette, who was the first out gay contestant to acknowledge her sexuality onair while the show was in production. Other Top Ten finalists who will be seen on tour include C.J. Harris, Jessica Meuse, Alex Preston, Dexter Roberts, Majesty Rose, and Malaya Watson.
Past tours have featured stars such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson,
Fantasia, Adam Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Phillip Phillips, Candice Glover and many more.
Tickets for American Idol Live! are still available for all three concert dates and are priced from
$81 for the Sarasota show, $60.50 for the Clearwater show, and $50.50 for the Fort Lauderdale
