This is HOT

In an incredible career that’s established him as a both a singular attraction and a one-of-a-kind performer, Kenny Rogers has racked up a songbook like no other. Combining a warm and wise vocal persona with an unmistakable romantic sensibility that’s consistently struck a responsive nerve with his fans, the three-time Grammy-winner maintained a firm hold on the charts through the 1970s and 1980s, establishing himself as America’s most beloved male vocalist in the process.

Rogers, who just celebrated his 80th birthday, has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, including a diamond award for ten million copies of his album Greatest Hits, which spent an entire decade on Billboard’s album chart and sold over 24 million copies worldwide.

It’s hard to imagine a more comprehensive keepsake of the Texas-bred hitmaker’s magnificent chart reign than the newly assembled 20-song collection The Best Of Kenny Rogers: Through the Years, released on CD and digital today via Capitol Nashville/UMe. The stellar collection demonstrates the timeless cultural impact of Rogers’ musical output. Through the Years also coincides with the 40th anniversary of the original release of Rogers’ trademark 1978 blockbuster The Gambler
