The 2019 Imagen Awards were announced at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. Excitement arose with the winning of Best Television Drama Pose (FX) as well as Best Actress Mj Rodriguez. Imagen Awards is among the first to highlight the enormously popular series about the African-American and Latinx LGBTQ and gender-nonconforming ballroom culture scene. Additionally, Best Television Drama was tied with the energy crime driven series Magnum P.I. This is HOT

I wrote about “Rocketman” a couple months ago when I had the pleasure of seeing it, and now it’s available for purchase, so it gets my attention again. So far, in my opinion, this has been the best movie of the year. I highly recommend that you purchase it, as you will want to have this movie in your collection….I was lucky enough to get my copy early!

Hailed as “a spectacular journey through the mind of a genius” (Jake Hamilton, WFLD-TV (FOX)) and “one of the best films of the year” (IGN), Rocketman comes out on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD August 27 from Paramount Home Entertainment.

Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes, Rocketman  “explodes with energy” (Shawn Edwards, FOX-TV) and boasts incredible performances of Elton John’s beloved songs by Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service). This electrifying film also stars Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) as Elton’s longtime lyricist and writing partner Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden (“Bodyguard”) as Elton’s first manager, John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World) as Elton’s mother Sheila Farebrother.

“His music inspires you, his life will surprise you” (Jake Hamilton, WFLD-TV (FOX)). Rocketman  is a one-of-a-kind musical celebration set to Elton John’s most beloved songs. Discover how a shy, small-town boy becomes one of the most iconic figures in rock & roll. Featuring an all-star cast, this truly spectacular and utterly electrifying ride is filled with show-stopping musical performances and is “unlike anything you’ve ever seen” (Jake Hamilton, WFLD-TV (FOX)).
