“Celebrity Escape Room” This Thursday, May 21 at 8 pm

Lady Gaga Release New Album Chromatica

Lady Gaga announced that her highly anticipated sixth studio album Chromatica will be released on May 29th via Interscope Records.  (Pre-order the album http://smarturl.it/Chromatica). The album features collaborations with Ariana Grande, Elton John and Blackpink. The album is executive produced by BloodPop and Lady Gaga.  Chromatica will be available in a variety of physical formats including standard CD, vinyl in various colors, and cassettes in various colors. Pride Fort Lauderdale to Distribute Groceries 

Pride Fort Lauderdale will distribute 150 free bags of groceries and personal hygiene products to people affected by the COVID-19 shutdown on Friday, May 22 at 6 pm at Hunters Nightclub in the Shoppes of Wilton Manors, 2262 Wilton Dr. The bags will include proteins and vegetables, canned goods, grains and pasta, and pantry staples, as well as soap, shampoo and other necessities. Drake Jensen releases “Burn the Floor”

Compass’s Monthly Pride Business Alliance

Compass continues its monthly Pride Business Alliance socials, though not in person. They will have it as scheduled on Wednesday, May 27 starting at 6 pm on Zoom. They expect it will be 60 to 90 minutes. They want to hear from everyone individually on how they are adjusting and what they need in these new times. South Florida Symphony Orchestra Live Streams a Concert

SFSO presents a livestream recital featuring Huifang Chen on violin and Tao Lin on piano, Intermission Music Series favorites, who have both previously appeared with pianist Catherine Lan. Coming live from their living room, enjoy Tchaikovsky’s charming Melodie; Ponce’s Mexican love song, Estrellita; Brahms’ Sonata for violin and piano in G major, also called the “Rain Sonata”, and Kreisler’s popular showpiece, Tambourin Chinois which he described as “a free fantasy in the Chinese manner.” The live stream will take place on Thursday, May 28 at 4pm on Facebook and 6pm on Youtube. 

 

Holographic Wall Decals To Benefit GLSEN

Tempaper recently launched an assortment of holographic wall decals with Bobby Berk, celebrity designer and star of Netflix’s Queer Eye. The eye decals, named You Are Seen, feature shimmering rainbow pastel hues as a reminder that anyone and everyone should be seen in all their colors. During the month of June, Tempaper will donate 20 percent of proceeds from the collection to GLSEN in honor of Pride Month. GLSEN was selected as Bobby Berk’s charity of choice due to its mission of creating safe and inclusive schools for all people, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or gender expression. The organization works to ensure that LGBTQ students are able to learn and grow in a school environment free from bullying and harassment. In addition to Tempaper’s 20 percent donation, Bobby plans to show his personal support for the cause by matching Tempaper’s contributions during the month of June. Part of Tempaper’s larger holographic decal collection, You Are Seen decals are available in 18” x 18” sheets of 43 pieces, and are designed to bring a rainbow of color to a variety of surfaces, from notebooks, school lockers, and car windows to counter tops, tile floors, and accents walls. 

 

Business for the Arts of Broward Introduces Virtual Art Class 

BFA is introducing these classes for everyone starting this month. To kick off this initiative that helps support the arts community and artists, No Fear Art – Drawing Edition, an art class to encourage participants to release their fears of creating and enjoy the process, will be hosted by nationally acclaimed artist Lori Pratico on Thursday, May 28 from 4 to 5pm. The class is $20 per family or screen. Tickets may be purchased at bit.ly/3dZ6FEV and participation is limited.
