Tri-Rail Suspended Fares Due to Covid-19

The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) has adjusted Tri-Rail train schedules and suspended all fares since Saturday, March 28 and until further notice. “We are committed to staying up and running for health care workers and others in our community who need to get to essential jobs, as well as those who have no other means of transportation during this trying time,” said Steven L. Abrams, SFRTA Executive Director. “With fewer people on the trains it has become easier to practice social distancing, and with fewer trains in service we can enhance our efforts to disinfect the equipment. Though there are fewer trains, we will add additional cars on each train set to give passengers more room to distance themselves,” said Abrams. “And suspending fares will protect passengers and the officers who check tickets by minimizing contact between them. For the most updated information on Tri-Rail service, including the temporarily modified schedule, visit tri-rail.com or follow Tri-Rail’s Facebook or Twitter pages. Tri-Rail’s Customer Service call center at 1-800-TRI-RAIL (874-7245) will remain open from 4:50 am to 11:30 pm on weekdays and 7am to 5pm on weekends.
