Dear Andreus,

I have two best friends, and we have been like the Three Musketeers for the last 10 years.  We go everywhere together and do everything together and know all each other’s secrets.  We are even integrated into each other’s families. As of recent, both have new boyfriends, and I don’t see them anymore, and barely speak to them.  I don’t want to come off as needy, but I feel left out.  I miss my best friends.  Is it wrong for me to say something? Maybe I should get a boyfriend. What are your thoughts?

Danny G.

Dear Danny,

Unfortunately, this is something that happens quite often. People often get so caught up in relationships (especially new ones), that they forget how to create a balance between their relationships and their friendships. I am sure it is a mistake of the head and not the heart.  This is certainly not a reason to just run out and find a boyfriend. So, I would suggest that if you are feeling some kind of way, that you talk to your friends about it. Let them know that you miss them. They might very well not realize what is happening. It is perfectly normal to get immersed in one’s relationship. Just make sure that you express your concerns gently, and I am sure that everything will turn out fine.
